This presentation will describe a specially designed instructional tool called cartooning. Cartooning can help teachers address a number of important social-emotional learning targets for young children. Cartooning can be used with individual children, small groups of children, or even with a whole class. It also has applications across settings including the child’s classroom, community and home. The presenter will utilize case examples that include planning forms and videos to guide early educators in implementing this strategy as they work with young children and their families.
